Jo Flannery is a member of the Litigation and Real Estate departments at Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC. Raised by a real estate agent, and a former Realtor herself, Jo has a particular interest in real property law. With over a decade of broad litigation experience behind her, Jo's practice has focused, over the last seven years, primarily on representing condominium and homeowner associations in the pursuit and resolution of construction defect claims, risk management, and covenant governed disputes.. Since joining Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland in 2005, Jo’s practice has expanded to again include the prosecution of professional liability claims, insurance bad faith, products liability, construction disputes, real property disputes both commercial and residential including matters of fraudulent concealment, easements and other conveyance matters as well as environmental claims involving hazardous substances. Having practiced exclusively on the defense side in the early years and then exclusively on the plaintiff’s side for the next several years, Jo now splits the aisle. Still primarily a plaintiff’s lawyer, her practice once again includes representation and advice and counsel to developers, contractors and property owners in the development stage as well as in defense of litigation.
