Emily was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2015 and began practicing in Fort Wayne. Emily started as a staff attorney for the Department of Child Services before moving to private practice. As an associate attorney at Shilts & Setlak, LLC, Emily centered her practice on family law. These matters included dissolution and post-dissolution matters, paternity, child support, and parenting time. From there, Emily switched gears, digging into estate planning and estate administration. Emily has since returned to family law, ready to assist you in all your domestic relations needs.. Elissa K. Halloran, an associate with the firm since 2011, received her undergraduate degree from Towson University in 2001 and her law degree from The University of Baltimore in 2005. Prior to working with the firm, Ms. Halloran worked in Carroll County representing clients in family law matters and criminal matters, and in Anne Arundel County representing victims of domestic violence.. I am a native of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and have focused my legal profession in the area of family law.  After law school, I began working with  law firms as an associate attorney focusing mainly on family law cases.  I have successfully negotiated and resolved numerous divorce and custody cases, and I have tried numerous contested divorce cases and contested custody cases across the State of Maryland, with my primary practice in Anne Arundel County.  Not only have I represented parties in divorce and custody actions, I have also been appointed by the Court as a best interests attorney for children.  Additionally, I volunteer some of my time at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County as a facilitator to help mediate cases at Scheduling Conferences.. Jessica S. Ashley Wilburn was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland and is a North Hagerstown High School alumnus.  Ashley’s current practice emphasizes family law, including divorce, alimony, marital property distribution, child custody, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial (separation) agreements, enforcement and post-divorce matters, step-parent and private party adoptions, and child welfare.  Her practice also includes estate planning, wills and trust, probate and estate administration, and commercial, contract and civil litigation.  Ashley is also court-appointed to represent children in contested custody cases, and she has recently become a certified mediator.  She looks forward to expanding her practice to include mediation.. Mr. Mathis is a founding partner of Mathis, Bates and Klinghard PLLC and a proud father of two.  He has extensive experience in the areas of family law, civil litigation, criminal law, and personal injury.  Mr. Mathis has reputable trial and litigation experience and represents business entities and individuals in a wide array of legal matters in both Tennessee and Kentucky.. Mr. Mathis graduated from Capital University Law School with honors in 2007.  While in law school he worked for two years learning the world of insurance defense while clerking for the Cincinnati Insurance Company.  His time there gave him an insiders understanding of how insurance companies defend personal injury claims.
