I not only help my clients achieve fair and full compensation for catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, but I also try to transform those  tragedies into constructive change to prevent similar disasters in the future. That is because I believe as a lawyer it is important to be a positive influence in my community.  So my work doesn’t start with a lawsuit any more than it ends with a settlement or verdict.. Catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death can impact the whole structure of a client’s life, not just finances. I help people who have suffered unthinkable tragedy, but my work goes well beyond financial compensation. I feel a social obligation to do what I can to help ensure preventable injuries and death aren’t recurring tragedies; that work is not limited to the courtroom.. With the support of a large, full service firm with the resources to tackle the most complex and difficult cases for those who have been injured due to the negligence of others, I strive to keep the human perspective in the forefront of my work.. Service should always be at the forefront of a lawyer’s thoughts. To me, a lawyer means advocate, counselor, advisor, and a positive force for needed change.

Practice Areas: Bankruptcy & Debt
Most of my clients come to me through referral from other attorneys, accountants, and former clients.  This is very gratifying as it shows that I’m doing good work for my clients.  I take pride in giving my clients the personal attention they need.  I listen carefully to my clients.  My objective is to listen and understand what the client’s problem is and then to clearly explain what options and alternatives are available to them.. I like being helpful and solving clients’ problems.  The most gratifying moments in my practice are when clients tell me they feel relieved after speaking with me and knowing that there is hope, and at the end of a matter when clients tell me how pleased they are with the outcome, and how much better they feel.

Practice Areas: Education, Employee Benefits, Appeals
I studied mathematics at Renssealaer Polytechnic Institute before transferring to SUNY Oneonta to become a teacher.  While searching for my first permanent teaching position, my father suffered a heart attack and I went to work in his custom woodworking business.  That was intended to last only until he got back on his feet.  Ten years later, I was still at it.  Then, for family reasons, my wife and I moved to Arizona.  The initial plan was for me to get a masters degree and return to teaching, until my father-in-law suggested that I consider law school, which at the time in Arizona was very affordable.  "Besides," he argued, "even if you did not like law, you would still have an advanced degree to use to get back to teaching."  As it turns out, the practice of law was a perfect fit.. While custom woodworking and the practice of law might appear to have nothing in common, both require patience, exacting standards, and attention to detail.  My father and I never worried about satisfying a customer becuase invariably my father's standards and expectations were much higher than the customers.  If he was satisfied, the customer was satisfied.  That is the same work ethic I apply in my practice.. Obviously, my background in education is relevant to my current role as Director of Legal Services for the East Valley Institute of Technology.. I am admitted to practice in Arizona, the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

  • My HOA is fining me for solar panels that were approved years ago | Aug 24, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona. I just need to know if I have any recourse here. This feels completely unfair and like a bait and switch. Back in 2022 I bought my house. Part of the appeal was that it already had solar panels installed on the roof. They were put in by the previous owner around 2020. There are documents in my closing paperwork showing that the HOA approved the solar panel installation back then. My realtor even confirmed it was all good. Fast forward to last month. I got a letter from the HOA saying I'm in violation of a new rule about roof aesthetics and they're fining me $50 a day until the panels are removed. They claim the panels don't blend in with the roof line and are a visual nuisance. When I called them, they said the previous approval was under an old set of rules and the new rules supersede it. They even said they updated their bylaws in April 2026 and sent out notices to everyone. I never got any notice about new bylaws. I checked my email and mail and found nothing. My neighbors, some of whom also have solar, got the same letter. Is there anything we can do to fight this? It seems crazy to fine someone for something that was approved years ago especially when I bought the house with them already there.

  • Speeding ticket issues | Aug 24, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona I just got a ticket for exceeding 10mph. However, on my ticket it states the radar gun has me at 75mph in a 65mph zone. This is also my first time being stopped for speeding as well as receiving a ticket for speeding. Is there anyway I can get the $200 ticket either reduced or dismissed?

  • Break Lease (AZ) | Aug 23, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona. Hello, I stay in AZ and have been here for about 3 weeks.. with that being said ever since my first day I’ve seen roaches. The apartment isn’t heavily infested but I notice 2 almost every other day and they’ve sent someone to spray but that hasn’t been sufficient. They’ve also stated the guy was coming back in two weeks and he has. I sent a follow up email stating it wasn’t sufficient and included 10 more recent photos of roaches (different areas to show they’re in my apartment) my apartment is clean, I barely have furniture really just my clothes a tv stand , tv and couch. Also I noticed every time I cook the aroma also brings them out. My apartment is partially finished which I knew but they literally have so many open holes in the apartment and flimsy vinyl flooring it’s basically a shitty apartment that they knew of but still rented out. With all my little venting aside. With me being here for 3 months can I reasonably break my lease without facing too much repercussion. I know I would have to pay a certain dollar amount but do you think they will ask for the remainder of the lease $ amount or cut me a break? Please help, I literally can not live with bugs and I woke up to three on my couch crawling on me which woke me up out my sleep. It’s totally disgusting and I’m literally a whole…

  • Petitioning for record sealing of DUI | Aug 19, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona Possibly a silly question, but want to get all the information right the first time. I am petitioning the Arizona Courts to seal the record of my DUI arrest and conviction. The arrest was over seven years ago in May of 2019. When searching my case records, the counts that were dismissed also appear. On the form under CASE RECORD INFORMATION, should I list all 6 counts, or just the one count I plead guilty to?
