I came to the United States at 11 years old. My mother won a Diversity Lottery in 1995 and migrated to the U.S. alone. My father and I later joined her. The journey of having our family reunited was difficult, but my mother navigated the interactive law and policies of immigration law to bring us together. Having lived through that, I wanted to become an immigration attorney to ease the process for others. Immigration issues are an important aspect of my life since I have experienced firsthand the negative and positive aspects of the United States Immigration laws.
