He is the Past President of the Moorhead Rotary Club and active in Rotary International, including international service missions with his family in Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Corey is the Past Chair of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation and Past President of the Minnesota State University Moorhead Alumni Foundation. He previously served on the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Moorhead Economic Development Authority, Moorhead Business Association, and chaired the President’s Regional Advisory Council at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni award from Minnesota State University Moorhead.. Corey grew up in the family business in the small town of Evansville, Minnesota, where his family owned the local six-lane bowling alley and dance hall. Corey and his wife Brenda have three sons, Christian, Jack and Blake. The Elmer family likes to travel and explore new places, especially long family road trips. They are close to completing their goal of visiting all 50 states, having driven over 34,000 miles through 47 states, four Canadian provinces, and a few other interesting places.
