A northwest native, Ann grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington and graduated with honors from the University of Washington in 1997. She spent her final quarter at the UW studying abroad in Siena, Italy, and thereafter traveled extensively through Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Ann graduated with honors from Seattle University School of Law in 2002, and began her law career at an insurance defense litigation firm. There her practice was dedicated to insurance defense work in the areas of personal injury, medical negligence, and construction accidents.
