I’m David Tarras, Partner at the Rossen Law Firm. I have spent my entire legal career as a criminal defense attorney, fighting tirelessly for the criminally accused in both State and Federal Court in Florida. For all three years of law school, I worked for a nationally-renowned criminal law professor and author on a ground-breaking research project about the role of the human brain and modern neuroscience evidence in criminal defense litigation.. Both my parents are doctors - my father a Neurologist and my mother a Pediatric Oncologist. Growing up, I watched my parents save countless children and adults who were facing the most challenging and terrifying obstacles. My dream was to one day be in a position where I, too, could spend every day fighting for my clients’ livelihoods and safeguarding their futures. With a long-time passion for competition, creative conflict resolution, and the art of persuasion, I knew I could best fulfill my dream in the arena of criminal justice, protecting the lives and freedoms of South Floridians.. While in law school i continued my community service as a Guardian Ad Litem and interned for the U.S. Attorney's office in Tampa, as well as for Judge Fleming in Pinellas County. After law school I worked for the 12th Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office as an intern, but found a job working in Family Law with Central Florida Legal Services, Inc in Daytona Beach, Florida, which ultimately became Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inc. I was promoted to Family Law Unit Leader in my 4th year and Managing Attorney of the Daytona Beach office in my 5th year. I moved to Bradenton, Florida to be closer to my family that still lived in Venice in February of 2006 and became Managing Attorney of Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc, Bradenton Office where a specialized in elder law, which included estate planning, bankruptcy, foreclosure defense and consumer defense law..
