Adam Sattler

Firm: Sattler Law Group PC
270 North Ave, Suite 202 , New Rochelle , New York 10801
Practice Areas: Trucking Accident
After graduating from Hofstra University School of Law in 1993, Mr. Sattler began his legal career at a small law firm in downtown Hempstead, Long Island. Immediately, he was responsible for defending clients charged with various crimes, handling bankruptcy and immigration cases and representing clients in divorce and family court proceedings. In 1995 he moved his practice to New York City and became associated with Tellerman, Paticoff & Greenberg (soon thereafter Dienst & Serrins) the general counsel to many law enforcement unions including the New York City Detectives’ Endowment Association, Lieutenants’ Benevolent Association, Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association as well as members of Transport Workers Union.. While at the firm, Mr. Sattler expanded his practice to also include personal injury law by defending slip and fall cases for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, more commonly known as A&P Supermarkets. He also handled administrative and disciplinary matters at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) for members of the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association (COBA). The practice often took him to police precincts and court houses at all hours of the day and night, where he was known for always zealously representing the members of service charged with crimes and offering important strategic advice. After a short time, Mr. Sattler was asked to manage the firm’s matrimonial law department consisting of 3 attorneys and 2 paralegals. As the youngest Department Head at the firm, Mr. Sattler was responsible for ensuring that all union members received superior representation and counsel in their divorce, child support and other family court matters. He was also asked by the COBA union president at the time to represent him on Governor Pataki’s Domestic Violence Task Force.. In 1998 Mr. Sattler joined forces with his law school friend and colleague, Alberto Ebanks and started EBANKS & SATTLER LLP. For the next 17 years Mr. Sattler was responsible for managing the personal injury lawsuits, handling the divorce and family law matters, representing the firm’s entertainment and sports clients in their civil matters and offering counsel on all of the trust and estate cases. Mr. Sattler personally recovered tens of millions of dollars for the firm’s clients injured as the result of the negligence of others by way of verdicts and settlements. In 2015, Mr. Sattler and Mr. Ebanks amicably decided to split-up the practice and SATTLER LAW GROUP PC was born. Soon thereafter Mr. Sattler decided to focus exclusively on Plaintiffs’ personal injury law and opened an additional office in New Rochelle, New York. Both offices are now exclusively dedicated to fighting for the rights of injured victims in all types of accidents.. Mr. Sattler is admitted to the Bars of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and before the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association and the New Rochelle Bar Association. He also serves as the recommended Injury Attorney for the NYC Correction Captains’ Association.

Adam Katz

Firm: Katz Law Firm, PLLC
77 Spruce Street , Cedarhurst , New York 11516
Practice Areas: Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, Wills, Medicaid & Medicare, Tax, Power Of Attorney, Corporate, LLC
Although the term "lawyer" may not warrant the respect it should, especially in trusts and estates law (estate and tax planning, probate, trust planning and administration, business formation and compliance, etc.) which requires constantly learning and staying up to date in several areas of law and business, having access to cutting edge and accurate information and being able to not just understand what it all means, but being capable of explaining it on a complex or simple level, as well as applying it to practical situations or coming up with creative solutions; it demands extreme attention to detail and advanced analysis and research skills, while it simultaneously requires being an attuned listener to a client, using people skills and communicating with each person on his or her unique level of interest, intelligence and care. I myself never knew about trusts and estates law and how it applies to and benefits everyone to different degrees on various levels, until I was introduced to it by someone who both knew about it and my particular personality. Both of my parents were in the medical field and I was raised caring about others. I thrive on helping people in ways that many do not think relief is available to them or would be costly, and then providing various services in a professional manner which yield happy clients that benefit from the organization, legal compliance, tax savings, security, protection and more which are just a few of the beneficial consequences to estate planning and administration. I also enjoy running my own practice and having the liberty to often invent or take care of various needs or concerns of clients which do not fall into any particular category, which utilizes my unique skill set and achieves the objectives my clients seek... which at times, neither of us planned, and such tasks or services naturally emerged when the elements of the client's need(s) and trust were harmoniously met with my sincere will to understand the issue(s) and come up with a creative and effective solution.
