Joy is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association's Leadership Law Program, and she has also served on the Tennessee Bar Association's Youth Court Advisory Board.  In addition, she helped co-organize a Wills for Heroes event in Williamson County.. She was a founding member of Belmont University's American Inn of Courts and is a member of the John Marshall American Inn of Court.  She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association and Williamson County Bar Association.. Education. Joy attended the University of Tennessee in her hometown of Knoxville.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in 1992.  She began her law school career at the University of Tennessee but later  transferred to Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1994, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.. Personal. Joy is married to John Day and is a mom to Kate Day and bonus mom to Sarah and Michael Day.   She is an active volunteer at Scales Elementary.  Because she is passionate about cooking, eating and drinking wine, she has also become quite fond of running and hiking.

Julie Moya is a former Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade County. As an Assistant State Attorney, she was responsible for hundreds of cases, and co-lead prosecution in two courtrooms. Ms. Moya also ran a solo criminal defense practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before joining the office of Eric Buchanan and Associates. Ms. Moya returned to Criminal Defense practice in 2017.. I am one of those people who has been given the opportunity to get a wide range of experiences. Even though I was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, after completing high school, I was given the opportunity to live in Jerusalem, Israel, for the next nine years. During that time, I was fortunate enough to receive certification as a Rabbi and to meet my lovely wife.. During law school, I clerked with Justice Holder, a Supreme Court judge in Tennessee. Although that experience granted me extraordinary insight and understanding in a wide range of legal topics, it is not my greatest asset. I am blessed with the chance to continue to practice law in a firm with my father, Mr. Kenneth R. Besser, an attorney with more than 30 years of experience in the practice of law. I have been working with him for the past four years, which has granted me even deeper insight into both the legal field, but also into understanding and creating a rapport with client.
