I love working with couples and families that have struggled for years with fertility issues, and have been selected by our birth mothers. I also truly stand in awe of our foster parent clients, who have taken a child (or children) into their homes, sometimes for years, not knowing whether they will ever achieve permanency. Helping to complete the process and getting to congratulate the child, using their full, new legal name, is one of my favorite parts of the process. On National Adoption Day you can find me at the Courthouse bright and early in the morning, staking hand-painted signs into the ground, putting up banners and balloons, and getting my face painted to share in the joy of the day. I truly cannot say enough about the practice of adoption law, and what it has brought to my life..
