I grew up in Sammamish, Washington. I love the beautiful northwest and am excited to be working close to home. Family has always been important to me. My parents, who both worked as volunteers to improve education standards in Washington State, taught me the value of being involved in my community. Following their example, I decided to seek a career where I could be of service to others. I spent eighteen months in Guatemala where I participated in humanitarian work and learned to love Latin American culture and the Spanish language.
