Amy Meghan Neaher was raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Awarded full academic scholarships, she attended Shippensburg University, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in 1992 with a major in government and a minor in sociology in three years. Amy subsequently received her law degree from the District of Columbia School of Law, Washington D.C. in 1996.. After graduation from law school, Amy worked as an international contracts representative for Northrop Grumman. Upon relocation to Florida, she was employed as District Counsel for the Department of Children and Families handling child abuse/neglect cases from inception to the appellate level. Entering private practice, Amy worked for several distinguished law firms gaining a wide range of litigation experience before opening her own practice in 2006..
