Weldon E. Patterson was born in Harlan, Kentucky. He attended Tennessee Technological University (B.S., 1984), and The University of Tennessee (M.S., 1986; J.D., with Honors, 1988), and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1989. WALT SCHULER graduated magna cum laude from The University of Memphis in 1993 with a B.B.A. in International Business.
