John J. Chihak obtained his law degree from Hamline University School of Law. John also received a Masters of Arts Degree in Public Administration with honors from Hamline. John obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin with a double major in Political Science and Psychology. John received the Peter Falkman Award for Outstanding Policy Analysis for his master's thesis on poverty, pollution, and inner city development. John's thesis was published in the Journal of Public Law and Policy. John was a member of the legal team that worked on the landmark United States Supreme Court case Gisbrecht v. Barnhart. As a direct result of this case, the right to legal representation for low income disabled individuals was greatly expanded throughout the United States.. Bean Environmental, LLC was upheld by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in November, 2008.. I was named to Super Lawyers from 2006 – 2008 by Washington Law & Politics magazine, and in 2003 was named one of Seattle’s Top Lawyers in construction law by Seattle Magazine.

John L. Comstock graduated cum laude from the University of Washington in 1984 with his major in business administration. While at the UW, John worked as a professional musician and as a licensed real estate agent. Working in real estate provided the environment for John to develop his expertise in construction, property management, and land development. In 1987 he formed Comstock Construction, Inc., and over the next decade completed numerous residential and commercial construction projects.
