Her technical expertise includes biology and computer science.  During her undergraduate studies, Dana was a lab and field research assistant in the Hoekstra Laboratory at Harvard University. There, she assisted with the completion of a long term behavioral genetics study on deer mice. The study was published in Nature and was reported on in the New York Times, Boston Globe, BBC, and SCIENCE magazine.. Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Dana worked as a summer associate for the firm. Dana was a law clerk for the California Medical Association (CMA), a professional organization representing more than 40,000 member physicians in the state of California. While at CMA, Dana led a research project on patent trolls. As a result of her work, Dana and representatives from the CMA were invited to testify before the California State Assembly’s Select Committee on High Technology in Palo Alto.  In addition, she worked as a legal assistant for a Los Angeles boutique healthcare law firm.
