Channing Miller, formerly Watson, is a Clinton Dragon, graduating in 2005 from Clinton High School. After high school, she went on to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. During her undergraduate studies, Channing was the recipient of the General Assembly Merit Scholarship, the Edgar Guenther Scholarship, the Volunteer Scholarship, and the HOPE scholarship. She spent a summer during her undergraduate studies interning for Senator Bob Corker at his Knoxville satellite office. After joining the workforce for a year, Channing went on to pursue her legal degree at the University of Tennessee College of Law. She participated in Homer A. She also participated in the Non-Profit Clinic while in her 3rd year and assisted a non-profit in their start up adventures.
