Notably, in 2002, Les was celebrated as the "Biggest Rat in Town" for raising over $40,000 for the American Cancer Society. In 2013, he chaired the School Improvement Committee for Bear Exploration Center, spearheading efforts that secured $40,000 for school enhancements. Les has also served as the president of the Jimmy Hitchcock Award, an organization that recognizes outstanding Christian student-athletes in Montgomery. Since relocating to Auburn in 2020, Les has embraced community involvement with equal vigor.
